Edmonton Oilers fans had plenty of reason to celebrate on Wednesday night.
Their team pulled out a 4-3 win on home ice, ending their first-round series with the Los Angeles Kings in five games.
It was a third straight year of improvement for the Oilers, who beat the Kings in seven games in 2022 and six games last spring.
Leon Draisaitl led the way with a pair of goals, while Zach Hyman and Evander Kane also tickled the twine for Edmonton.

The quick series win means the Oilers will get a chance to rest up for a few days as they await their second round opponent.
They will take on the winner of the first-round series between the Vancouver Canucks and Nashville Predators, which the Canucks currently lead 3-2 ahead of game six in Nashville on Friday.
If Vancouver can close things out, either on Friday or Sunday, the Oilers will head to British Columbia to begin round two, but if Nashville can come back the series will start in Edmonton.
There was one other game played Wednesday night, as the Dallas Stars edged the Vegas Golden Knights 3-2 in game five to take a 3-2 series lead.

It’s a third straight win in the series for Dallas and also the first game to be won by one of these teams on home ice after the road team stole the first four games.
Dallas, like Vancouver, will have a chance to advance to the second round with a win on Friday night.
Before we get to those games on Friday, however, there’s a lone game on tap tonight.
The Toronto Maple Leafs are looking to stave off elimination for a second straight game as they host the Boston Bruins in game six.
The Leafs won game five in overtime to stay alive and will now be looking to carry that momentum over into a game six victory, which would force a do-or-die game seven in Boston on Saturday.
Puck drop tonight is set for 5 pm PT and the game will be broadcast on CBC and Sportsnet.
